1990 Mazda Miata, Posi trac added, expert maintained, ready for the track

You are looking at a very nice Mazda Miata that was removed from street use to track mid year 2004 with low miles. The car was set up for Spec Miata racing, however it was never raced. It was used for recreational track days by a husband and wife. The original paint and all factory body panels are marked with vin stickers. The hardtop was sourced and painted to match, the blue racing stripes were painted on at that time. The previous owner of 11 years kept it in a climate controlled garage at the Motorsports ranch in Cresson Texas. The maintenance, tires, brake flush, pads, oil changes and alignments were done on site. Its powered by the very reliable 1.6 liter mazda motor, it has a cold air intake, header, performance exhaust and is otherwise stock. The brake were upgraded to the next size larger rotors, calipers and work excellent.
It has been modified professionally with a roll cage, aluminum race seats, six point harness, light weight wheels, track tires, bilstein coil over shocks, eibach sway bars, header, short throw shifter, special clutch and fly wheel, a posi trac installed by team MER Racing, Granbury Texas.
The drivers glass was removed and replaced with a side net, its turn key ready for the track.
Zero rust, excellent body inside and out, some track cars were salvage vehicles bought cheap and set up for track, this was a very clean street car with low miles when converted. It has no rub or scrape marks on the body or bumper. It was driven against the clock on organized track days with no body contact.
I have a log book from december 2005 thru 9/18/2008, from the original owner. I have the receipt for the posi trac install. It also has a new aluminum radiator.
The tires are good for two more track days, the hood has a slight modification to allow outside air to enter the breather just above the headlight. I have a clear Texas title in my name, I run vintage tags which allows for driving on the street to shows or parking lot track events.I have it insured with hagerty for $17,000 full coverage except when its on the track.
