Car description

This is an "R Package" Miata. It was the racing package and most of these went straight to the track so there aren't that many of them left. The R Package included a slightly lighter car, Bilstein suspension, limited slip differential, front and rear spoilers and the stripes were vinyl from the factory. I had it repainted about 8 years ago and they painted the stripes back on at that time. I also had custom vented fenders made from the original fenders. The vents are fiberglass but the fenders are metal. It has the Jaguar style gas cap door and vented headlight door. I upgraded the radio to a CD/DVD/AM/FM/GPS with Bluetooth phone connection. I have the original CD/AM/FM which I'll include as well as the unvented headlight cover. It has a hard top, double hoop style bar (roll bar) and a fiberglass tonneau cover. I'm the original owner of this car and it has been garaged most of the time.

It's in good shape and has only a few minor scratches. The body is solid except two small rust spots in front of the rear fender wells on both sides (see pictures). The hardtop has some flaking paint on it (see pictures). It has only been in one small accident where a guy backed into it and put a softball size dent in the right front fender, it wasn't my fault so I made him pay to replace the fender rather than repair it. That's when I had the whole car repainted as the Mazda red was fading and dull. The soft top looks good and has a glass window but when I had the top replaced it was too tight. The guy said it would stretch but it hasn't, so it is difficult to latch. Since I only drive it on nice days I've rarely used it.

I live in New York City but the car is in storage in Columbus, Ohio. I can't afford to pay to store it in NYC so I only drive it when I visit my Mom in Ohio. That is why I am selling it. This is a beautiful and fun car that hugs the road like it's on a rail, but the suspension is tight so you do feel the bumps. The R Packages were mainly build for SCCA racing.
