Car description

My wife and I have sold our home in Virginia and we are moving to Oregon at the end of April.
We have too many vehicles so we are listing our 1990 Miata at a Buy It Now price of $5000.00.
We are selling it below NADA Classic Car book value. This car is a classic and will continue to go up in valueevery year so long as the owner maintains it properly.
NADA Classic Car Guide of a 1990 Mazda Miata MX-5 with Hard Top lists a high retail of $6211.00.
There are many 1990 Mazda Miata MX-5 in similar condition listed for more than NADA High retail book value.
This classic car is a good investment at $5,000.
This car has been driven to work thirty miles round trip 2 to 3 days a week by my wife for the last 2 years.
This is a fun car to drive!
The AC blows cold in the summer & the heater works well in the fall & winter.
The car runs like a clock. The engine is fully stock,
This car has neverbeen modifiedin any way shape or form. The motor is completely stock and no mods inside the engine bay either.
Everything works solid, clutch is very strong.
The transmission shifts like butter, no grinding gears or pop outs.
The tires have plenty of tread and are in good condition.
The car has had regular oil changes. The radiator and hoses are new. The catalytic converter and muffler are new.
The paint on the body is in good shape. The hardtop paint has some minor blemishes near the edgesthat can be restored easily with some light sanding & touch up paint.
The exterior and interior are in good condition overall. There are no tears in the seats or cracks in the dash.
I replaced the rubber gaskets around the tail lights because the original gaskets had deteriorated andwhen it rainedwe found the carpet in the trunk was getting damp. New gaskets & problem solved.
The radio cd player does not work. It turns on but the sound volume control does not work properly.
Some History:
My wife and I bought this car in 2015 from a local couple who decided to retire and needed to downsize. They only drove the car a couple days a week to work or pleasure trips. They indicated they hadtheir mechanic do regular oil changes, tune ups & tire replacements. We were amazed at whatgood condition is was in for being a 1990.
The previous owners did not use the soft top. My wife has not used the soft top either. The hard top is moredesirable than the soft top during the winter months in southern Virginia.
So the soft top has not been used for years but is in good shape, no holes or anything in it, doesn't leak in water. The rear clear vinyl window of the soft top is cloudy and should be replaced if you choose to use the soft top.
The car is listed for sale locally in Virginia 23112 so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
The Buy It Now price goes away after the bid gets high enough.
Happy Bidding!
