One way ticket NO RESERVE AUCTIONI don't have room to take this with me we are moving and there is no way I can take this car. This car has had a TON of money and time spent on it. I am re listing the car with NO RESERVE. this is a case where my loss will definitely be someone else's gain. From previous questions. No this is not an everyday driver. it has a full roll cage. No it is not a manual transmission it is an automatic 3 peed. The photos are right after the body shop finished the full paint job less than a month ago. The entire drive train is custom (Not Lotus) and set up for racing. I have a 1976 Lotus Elite. I do not know much about it. I had planned on restoring the car from top to bottom but we are moving out of state and I don't have time to finish it. Here is what I know; In 1976 the Fittipaldi Brothers built a few of these cars there is a badge on the back that says World champion builders. now I am sure if that is from the Fittlpaldi Brothers or Lotus. trying to find information on this car has been a lot harder than I thought. there is nothing around to compre it to. From 1974-1982 there were only 2. 35 of these made Curb weight from the factory was only 2. 00 lbs. Now this car is as far from factory as you can get. It has;Chevrolet small block 327 pro built. bored 40 over. and balanced I'm not sure what cam or lifters. but it has a great thump and lope super fast and snap response on the throttleIt has a Muncie 3 speed Rock Crusher automatic trans it has a stall but not crazyNarrowed jaguar 4 coil rear end Handles like its on railsFull race roll cageRacing fuel cell ***The fuel pump is giving me some trouble not sure what it is. sometimes it works sometimes you have to wait for it***This is the only mechanical issue. Fuel pump. water pump and battery shut offsIt has an all fiberglass/composite body. the headlights and windows run off of the vacuum system. the headlights go down when you start the car and go back up as the vacuum goes awayThe car has the most unique sound I have ever heard out of a Chevy V8. at an idle it deep and throaty when you on the gas it screams like an Indy car. I promise if you buy this car you will be the only kid on your block. city. or state with something like this. The car just got out of the body shop where they did a complete repair and paint job. all fiberglass stress cracks and chips were fixed properly. It still needs some interior attention. the seats are high back racing seats and they are different brands. the carpet could stand to be replacedThe engine and drive train are strong with no problems but I was going to change a lot of parts to make them look new. That's about all I can tell you. it is defiantly a head turner. and will make someone an awesome car whether you plan on racing. showing or just cruising aroundI have a full book with some records and maintenance I am donating a portion of the proceeds to charity.
