1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V Givenchy Designers Series. This is a fun car to drive and always gets the looks and people asking about it. It is a rare car in that the Givenchy series had a low production to begin with. Add 38 years to that fact and the survivor numbers are a lot lower. I have had this car since 2013. I bought it from the original owners son. It was purchased new in New Mexico and then came out to Southern California in the mid 1980's. His parents passed and he took the car to his home near Sacramento CA then I purchased it. It was a garaged car and the interior shows that. No body rot or rust through issues. All original and it was in need of some maintenance items so I've had the car slowly worked on. A few of those items I had replaced/rebuilt/serviced are, new exhaust, catalytics, fuel pump, carburetor, belts/hoses, radiator, added additional electric radiator fan, a/c compressor, transmission rebuilt, rear brake hoses, battery, ignition relay, ignition module, distributor, coil, spark plugs and wires, shocks, battery cable, EGR valve, driver and passenger vent window gears, under hood insulation, brake master cylinder and several other items. I also had the car sanded and repainted in 2015 to the original Givenchy color and had a new correct grain/color vinyl top put on as well. THe car is stored most of the time and I am needing the space for a new project. This car looks great, is fun to drive and has had a lot of stuff done to keep it road worthy. Its not perfect, it has little things that could be fixed like, digital Miles To Empty is not working, speedometer cable starting to squeak when driving, clock runs then stops, the LOWER plastic driver door armrest base could be re-dyed (its faded in one spot), the outside mirror thermometer lights up but does not show correct temp. Again, this is a great driver, always gets comments and looks wherever its been, clean, no smells and a fun car to drive. I have receipts for the services available upon request. I've taken this beautiful one as far as I can, its time for someone else to love, work on and enjoy it now. Ask any questions and I will try to answer as quickly as I can. Thanks for looking I am located in the Los Angels area and welcome inspections. Car is being sold as-is, where-is.
