Car description |

Land Rover with history.
Imported from Australia very early 80's. This was registered as a 1974 Series III 109. In fact is has all that a Land Rover Stage 1 was equipped with. It has the reliable and sturdy LT95/4 gear transmission, all-wheel drive (with Hi-Lo) and the stronger Stage One axles. Somewhere along the way somebody has transformed the front of the vehicle, to a modern DEFENDER look, but this is NOT a DEFENDER. It is a Series III 109 vehicle with tropical roof.
Rebuilt engine was put into the vehicle 2018 - original Rover V8 3.9 ltr - with performance gasflowed heads. The engine came from TURNER ENGINEERING in UK.https://www.turnerengineering.co.uk/strippedenginesThe engine has only been driven around 200 miles since.
2018 16x6.5 NATO TUBELESS wheels were fitted. And new BF Goodrich ALL-Terrain tires. The steering has been replaced, NOT power steering. Clutch repaired 2018. Headers were ceramic coated 2018. New BATTERY. New heat insulator for carburator. Custom made radiator with 2 fans - cools the engine properly and the original water pump replaced with a new original part. Speedometer not working since it came into my possession.
All in all a rough and beautiful utility truck, that is in fully working order. Sounds great and runs great. Exterior might need some paint work, although bumpers and etc. has recently been sprayed. Interior is simple and basic, with good stereo system (albeit 15 years old but sounds good) - cd player and boom box in the rear. Always wanted to finish it in the original style and re-paint it, but circumstances have changed. Will sell this lovely Landy with a heavy heart. MESSAGE me for more info. BUYER is totally responsible for pick up or shipping!
