Car description |

1977 Right hand drive Series 3 88". I purchased this truck from a farmer just southeast of Peterborough, which explains the low mileage. It was driven mostly on his farm. I imported this back in 2004 when I moved back to the USA. Titled in Virginia. The green paint job was done by him prior to selling. It appears to have been a light blue previously.
The grill has been replaced with a custom stainless steel grill, as well as stainless checker plate floor panels. I have the original grill that will convey with the truck as well as a second set of wheels (painted black), one of which has the full size spare mounted in the back. I will also include any spares and repair parts to to the seller.
It was parked in storage on jack stands 4 years ago. It will need a complete tune up and have the brakes checked. Currently has 34" super swampers on original wheels with a full size spare in the back. The spare on the hood is just for looks. This will need to be towed. On the current wheels and tires, the truck is approximately 6'7'' tall.
The frame was repaired by the previous owner and will need some attention again. This is a workhorse that I enjoyed driving during inclement weather.
The Defender brush guard on the bumper is in need of replacement. This engine is most likely the original, given the low mileage and the fact that it needs lead added to gasoline. The head never had its valves changed to run on unleaded gas as leaded petrol was still sold in England when I moved back to the states.
