Own a piece of history! The Land Rover Defender line is now shut down. As of February 2016, Land Rover stopped making this classic vehicle. The Defender is only going to increase in value. Since the Series vehicles have been produced after WWII, nearly two-thirds of all Land Rover Series/Defenders are still on the road; A testament to their design and durability and the love of their owners to keep them going. The frame and bulkhead are steel, but the body is aluminum, which contributes to its longevity due to its inherent defense against corrosion.

Engine & Transmission

This defender has the fantastic 200TDI 2.5 Turbo Diesel engine. It starts first turn of the key every time. It has great compression on all 4 cylinders, it doesn't use any fluids or leak. We thoroughly inspected and serviced the motor.
The engine has plenty of power and will happily sit at 65mph without any problems. The transmission shifts as it should and 4high and 4low work perfectly. The clutch is smooth without any judder or slip.

Interior

The Interior is in fantastic condition, the 4 rear seats all have 2 point lap seatbelts, the rear has a new rubber load mat. The shifter and transmission nobs are aluminum. The center console has been updated.

The vehicle is in Sarasota Florida, it has passed all DOT EPA DMV tests and inspections and is 100% legally here in the USA. All necessary paperwork will be given to buyer. It currently has a cleanFLORIDA TITLE WITH NO LIEN HOLDERS and is ready to transfer to the new owner. We are happy to take more photos/videos/facetime with any serious buyers.
