Car description |
---|
Built in April 1955, this is an exceptional example of a 86" Land Rover Series 1 that requires no work and is ready to enjoy.
Restored to an exceptional standard, the vehicle underwent a full nut and bolt rebuild in 2017 returning it back to factory specification.
Over 30 years of the cars history is available and will come with the vehicle.
We rebuilt this vehicle in 2017 for its current owner. It is now back in our workshop having some light restoration work to ensure it as good as you would ever expect it to be as a restored vehicle as her current owner will sadly no longer be driving going forward.
BODYWORK
Wings, doors and the rear tub are original panels. that have been restored to factory condition.
The bulkhead is exceptionally solid and original, despite a few areas of light pitting.
Most original components have been reconditioned. When some parts were found to be beyond repair, original Land Rover new-old stock components were used.
INTERIOR
It has a complete set of front seats and canvas from Exmoor trim that are the correct type for the age of the vehicle.
UNDER THE BONNET
The engine has been rebuilt and finished to the highest of standards. The restoration includes the original 1997cc engine that is the correct matching number to the car. The engine has completed less than 100 miles since its rebuild and is often trailered to shows to keep her in the best condition possible.
This a very honest 62 year old Series Land Rover. What you see is what you get it looks and drives exactly as it should. You will have to go a long way to find a better vehicle.
Exporting to the USA
This car was rebuilt in our family run workshop in the heart of the English countryside.
If you have never imported a vehicle before, the prospect of completing hundred of forms can be a little daunting. Our experienced team will be here to guide you every step of the way from arranging shipping quotes and completing export documentation to waving the vehicle off on its trip across the Atlantic
We are happy to deal with third party viewing agents on your behalf or should you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to ask.
