Car description |
---|
I am an Australian student studying at college in the USA and this is my fathers car- and it is at our families farm near Brisbane, Australia. If anyone is interested I will obviously put you in contact with him direct, but here is my contact number - (973)-454-8114.
This is what he has to say about the car:
G'Day - up for auction is my rare left hand drive 1990 Land Rover 110 Perentie - Australian Ex-army truck.
These only came out in right hand drive and limited numbers, but this vehicle was used in an American film that shot last year in Australia. It was converted to left hand drive, overseen by an engineer for insurance for all actors/crew driving the vehicle.
It drives great - I have been using it on my 120acre farm for the past 6 months just for fun.Car will happily sit at highway speeds..These army land rovers came with extras that no other land rovers did.... including:* factory coil suspension* extra high ground clearance* galvanised chassis* bullet proof Isuzu diesel 4BD1 engine
It was in army colours when purchased by the film production, but they aged it down (current green paint) to make it look older.
A LOT of money was spent by the Film Production Company - and only 100miles done since all work:* conversion to left hand drive* brand new power steering fitted* new heavy duty radiator* all new brake system - master cylinder, brake shoes* new clutch master plus slave cylinder* new ball joints* new tie rod ends* new rear diff mounts* new temperature gauge* new steering damper rubbers* new isolator switch fitted* new anderson plug (for jump starting vehicle)* new custom fold up rear bench seat* new custom rear step fitted* new windscreen and rubber fitted - and additional 3 brand new windscreens and rubbers
Speedo reading is 55,000 KMS (34,000 miles), but the army replaced the speedo so its done more miles which you can see in log book.
This is correct ** VIN number:SALLDHAZ1FF408422
The car has been fully serviced, with all new oils, filters and hoses replaced - copies of all receipts can be provided.
Has a Land Rover Perentie factory workshop manual.
Original army service books - fully stamped from brand new.
Underneath the car is very clean and tidy - however small bit of rust in both front floors - due to a common issue with this model (water drips through vents at bottom of windscreen from outside) - please see photos.Canvas roof is in very good condition.
Please email or phone my daughter if you want to contact me with any enquiries.More than happy if you have any contacts here in Australia to view the vehicle. We live 1.5hrs from the shipping docks in Brisbane. Can organise to get the Land Rover taken to the docks for shipping.I can be contacted via FaceTime - happy to take you for a drive whilst chatting!
Happy to accept Paypal, as long as you pay the fees.
Thanks for looking.
