Car description

I have a 1990 Range Rover Classic SWB (Short Wheel Base) 4x4 4.2L for sale. This is a 4 owner Range Rover and has been enthusiast owned (overly well maintained) its entire life. It is Clearwater Blue with Sorrel Brown leather interior. The truck has 212,xxx miles on it but the original engine has been replaced with a 1995 4.2L Range Rover engine about 6k miles ago. The engine was completely rebuilt by British 4x4 in Durham. Every seal, gasket, fluid, hose, timing cover gasket, crankcase seal, head gasket, intake manifold gasket, timing chain, water pump, ect has been gone through to make this new engine perfect. The engine was also blasted and repainted prior to install. The 4.2L engine was originally for the LWB(long wheel base) models with the 3.9L being for the SWB (short wheel base) models, this gives this truck almost 40 more horsepower than the original 3.9L. The transmission was professionally rebuilt around 18k ago by British 4x4 as well. I have listed some major maintenance items below that have all be recently done. This is a hard to find truck, more so in this color & shape. The sunroof has been sealed shut, as the part is NLA(no longer available) to fix it. This Range Rover Classic is RUST FREE, except for the back window frame on the hatch(the only steel part on the body, and extremely common). I have a small duffle bag I keep inside the car with hard to find spare parts & miscellaneous rover stuff that will also go to the new owner. If you have any questions please ask. Thank You

Known issues:

-Cruise does not work

-No power adjustment switch for the driver's seat. All wiring and motor are in working order and seat can be adjusted with a power source or by using the passenger module. The left-hand side module can be hard to find, but they do pop up on ebay from time to time. I am 5'10 and I have adjusted one time and have forgotten about it.

-There is a small power steering fluid leak that I check every week or so and carry a bottle of fluid with me. I have been told by the experts that replacing the PS pump can sometimes lead to many more problems than it's worth and have chosen to just check it every week or so.

-Brake pad light comes on fairly often but it has had new pads in the last 12 months and brakes perfectly.

-Fuel thermostat can sometimes act up on hot days. The engine has never run hot whatsoever during my ownership, but on hot days it will start a little rich and if you feather the gas a little and it catches right up and runs fine.

-There is a rip on the driver's seat back and another worn area. The seat cushion has been replaced and is in great shape. All other surfaces are fine except for one small hole in the back left bench seat.

Just want to make sure I am fully transparent. If you are a Rover fan, this is a great vehicle in really good shape for its age. It's not perfect, as I don't think there is such a thing, but it is a lot of fun for the money. Thanks for looking!
