Land Rover Series III 109"

1976 Series iii 109" wheel base. This is a COOL Right Hand Drive Rover I imported from overseas about 5 yrs. ago. It is the 4 door 109"model.I just can't seem to find enough time to enjoy. It's in good shape and seems to be very original. The frame looks good and has been sealed, had one outrigger replaced and they did a good job. It starts and runs and stops.That being said, think the transmission needs work. The trans mission shifts fine but when driven it makes a loud whining noise, ike metal on metal gears whining, oes not sound normal to me. It will come with a spare donor transmission. I think you could get it rolling properly with parts from both.it may be fin, just seems loud to me and I don't know if it's a bearing or gear noise. Has very good tires, eplaced carb, adiator, hock, ront door tops with sliding Windows and other switches and small parts. It drives, ights work,but gas tank should be cleaned, arb should be cleaned and brakes checked to be safe. It should be TRANSPORTED not driven away. Again this is a PROJECT not a daily driver and needs some work. Ask questions first, will help load with your shipper that you set up and pay for. This is a COOL truck that I will miss. Also forgot to mention that when you take the key out of the ignition the truck stays running, would just stall it and turn battery disconnect switch. I assume the ignition switch needs replaced!!!!!!
