Car description |

for your consideration, 1973 Jeep CJ5.
The Good- The engine is very strong, tarts instantly with full compression. I suspect it is rebuilt but have no documentation, ut it is definitely a strong engine. This has the desirable 4 speed tranny, new clutch and u joints. The newtires are the oversized 31X10.5 on 15" rims that are all chrome. New brakes, ough stuff springs with some lift and new tie rods. The drive train is definitely the big up side and this would make a great rock crawler. Add in a fiberglass hard top and the doors have glass windows, ver a complete full cage. The gas tank is the rear mount.
The bad- the interior is very Spartan. Original seats are ripped but still do the job. Could use a little wiring work but all the lights appear to be functional.Tub has some rust under the front seat but overall is functional. This is a perfect platform for the off roader wanting to fix up a CJ5, ot a nice clean city car. I am selling it as I upgraded to a nice pretty wrangler for the benefit of my wife.
The ugly- old faded paint and tired interior.
The tub could be restored but is still functional, erfect for a hunter or serious off road use where its just going to get beat up anyhow. Very nice frame, rive train and the engine runs like new. The vehicle has a clear title and is street legal. Fun vehicle but I had to get a pretty wrangler, he CJ5 is a bit tough for women to appreciate. This is a no reserve auction but it is available locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction if it sells locally, o cash offers and trades are on the table- I have a wide range of auto interests but a running german car or an old convertible could spike my interest.
Last, f you don't have at least 10 feedbacks you will have to contact me to bid or I'll block you. I have sold a lot of cars on ebay and I have a perfect 100% score. It is my preference for you to see the vehicle but if you are into rock crawlers I suspect you will like it. I also have no time for scammers but if you make a stupid request I'll post it so we can all laugh at it.
