Selling a very nice looking and driving rust free 1983 Jeep CJ5. Clean title = no damage history on title. This Jeep has been rebuilt, repaired, re wired and repainted = Restored. Many new parts install in build. ( The1983 was also the "last year" Jeep made and sold the Classic CJ5) Only 3080 Jeep CJ5 produced in the last model year of 1983. *This one is production number "0014" = the last four numbers of Vin. Original paint code 2J = Jamaican beige some call it tan. (Jeep has nice straight body metal). Jeep body metal not covered up in body armor. It's still a very pure and very original looking CJ body 37 years later. This jeep has been painted twice in the past 37 years. Both times tan type color. * I just finished the "second paint job" on Jeep less than 10 days ago. So the body paint looks very nice = Because it's new! This time i painted Jeep in the highly sought after color 6.6 military tan paint = A tan camo color still used today on military vehicles. ( I will give the buyer the left over paint not used if they ever want to touch up something in the future). This tan color is also a little darker tan color than the factory Tan color Jeep used. The original color had a "yellow tint" to it. ( The paint I used is a higher quality paint and much more durable of a paint than factory Jeep used back in the day. Paint on Jeep look's super nice. You will get many complements and turn heads driving in this CJ. ( Nice straight body and nice paint for sure) Now for the long list of parts *New complete Jasper 4.2 motor was installed under hood. New exhaust pipe and muffler, New aluminum radiator and power brake booster. New power steering gear box and steering part's. The 4 speed manual transmission was also rebuilt. New flywheel, clutch and clutch hardware installed . The Dana 300 4 by 4 transfer case also rebuilt. = works like new. Drive lines re balanced and new U Joints installed both front and rear. Front and rear end both inspected and serviced no issues. All new complete brake parts installed on rear. New brake drums, brake hardware, new pads and new wheel cylinders. Emergency brake now works, Springs upgraded to a mild 2 1/2 lift for better ride quality and tire clearance. Like new 31 tall 10.5 Toyo A/T open country tires = Nice tires no loud tire road noise. Tires mounted on polished 15 inch alco type style aluminum wheel. New window glass and window rubbers. New body to window frame rubber. New wipers and hardware. New body badging. New LED headlights and taillights. New blinkers and light bezels. All electrical checked and Jeep re wired as needed = No electrical issues. All Lights now work correct, even the factory back up lights. Gas tank 20 gal with new gas sending unit. New gas gauge also installed = so gas gauge works correct. Now for the inside. The inside floors cleaned and painted. Full roll cage installed after being powder coated. Full carpet kit installed. New high back front bucket seats installed. New locking center console. New Seat belts with shoulder belt . Rear locking storage box - Rear seat will mount to box = SEE VODEO. In dash gauges replaced new as needed = everything in dash now works. Power steering = Easy to drive. Power Disc brakes front -factory drum rear = Stops straight. Tilr steering column = Easy in and out. * The Jeep in dash odometer reads 80848 today and is "not the original miles on Jeep". ( Today Jeep has 4,950 miles on the oldest part of the current build just finished) New in dash pull levers. Horn works, Heater works, Wipers work. The heater will cook you out on high setting. *New Best Top Super top with full soft doors just installed. The good top = The door upper windows, side windows and rear window also zip out for open air driving = I show this in the VIDEO. I'm sure i have missed a few other new item but you get the idea. I have done everything i can think of to make sure this Jeep is very reliable, performs nice and also look's great. It run's, drives, shifts, handles and stops very nice SEE DRIVING VIDEO. It's turn key done ready to drive and enjoy for the new owner. * This Jeep will also be FOR SALE outside of EBay.
