1985 CJ7 Olympic White Laredo. Bought this Jeep 4 months or so ago from the best friend of the original owner. Overall, the body is very nice. This Jeep is a rare color coded and highly desirable 9B Olympic White CJ7 Laredo with original paint and decals.
The Jeep is absolutely rot free inside and out. The drivers side floor has superficial surface rust as pictured, which is nothing. I removed the seats and pressure washed the inside of the Jeep inside and out as it was filthy. I made no attempt at buffing or anything like that. This Jeep will clean up very well with a weekend's worth of elbow grease.
Runs and drives very nicely. I replaced the valve cover with an aluminum one as it was leaking profusely. That being said, there is a little bit of smoke coming from the manifold area, but I'm fairly certain it is residual oil burning off. However, figure worst case you may need to replace the manifold gasket. That's really the only mechanical thing that comes to mind.
Dash is uncut and original. The speedometer works, clock works, tach works intermittently and I'm unsure why. The needles in the oil pressure and volt gauges are broken off, which happens to a lot of Jeeps of this vintage. The temperature gauge does not work. Gas gauge appears to be working fine. Dash lights appear to be working. Air conditioner blows surprisingly nice and cold.
Hard top is in good condition. There are a couple of gouges (not cracks) on the back side. I was going to fiberglass fill them and retexture the top to make it look as good as new, but time is a hard thing to come by. Front passenger fender was tweaked as the lady who originally owned the Jeep hit her mailbox. I was able to straighten it out very nicely...almost perfect. It is very presentable as-is. There is also a small dent on the driver side behind the license plate. The plastic grill over the fresh air duct is missing a vein...not a big deal.
Very reasonably offered at $13,000 OBO. I'm motivated to sell so please feel free to submit your reasonable offers. Hard to find Jeep in this condition for my asking price. Ask any and all questions prior to making an offer. I can provide contact information to the new owner for a solid shipper I often use for my vehicles. Very affordable and reliable. I tried to disclose this Jeep as best as I could be please remember this is a 35 year old Jeep and though it's very nice, it's far from perfect. $500 immediate deposit via PayPal required and payment in full expected within 3 business days via cashiers check or money order. Cash in person is also acceptable. Please feel free to call me if you'd like to further discuss the Jeep. 520-789-0875
I can send you a link to my google album for all the photos. Please message or text for the link.
