Car description

1977 Jeep CJ CJ-5. 109k miles. Garage Kept. No rust besides some surface on scratches, dings, and undercarriage. No rot. Drives great, plenty of power. 401 ci AMC V8 from mid 70s grand cherokee around 70k. Engine fires right up with 3 pumps of the pedal, runs smooth, no funny noises, knocks, etc. New 180 thermostat- stays cool in any condition. Motorcraft 4bbl carb. BW T98 military transmission 4 speed - 3 speeds plus granny gear. Works excellent as does the clutch - engages smoothly, no chatter or slipping. ARB Air Lockers front and back with compressor mounted under hood. Air conditioner is converted to air pump for tires. Full cage. 6" Rough Country lift, 35" MT Toyo Open Country Tires (80%) with matching spare (100%). Warn 9000 lb winch. Jerry Can. CD in center console. New seats. New bikini top, older soft top but still functions, two sets of soft doors. Full top is never on. It's in garage and taken out on nice days. Jeep works perfectly, drive anywhere. Functional CB radio with weather report. PS/PB, heat, Original Paint, nothing to hide..I'd wouldn't paint it. Still shines and small dings/dents give it character a jeep should have. Sounds great, not too loud - Original y-pipe with flowmaster 3 chamber. Transfer case shifts smooth as does the transmission. Trans has small leak (drip). I just top off at engine oil changes. All lights work, horn works, and speedo reads about 5 mph slow due to tires. Tach hasn't worked in years and clock always says it's 6:13, but you won't be disappointed. It's a blast to drive. I'd like to keep it, but making room for a new project. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
