Car description |
---|
1978 AMC Jeep Wagoneer with built 401 engine & 4bbl carb. This truck runs and drives good but is NOT street legal. Too much body rust and an electric fire keep this from ever being road worthy. It is a fun off road beast built to go anywhere. Floor pans and rockers are rotted out but the frame is solid. All the drive train was professionally rebuilt in the early 2000’s when I had this on the road.
Here’s a short build list of parts:
401 AMC 4bbl engine rebuilt with RV cam
Curry Dana 60 high pinion (reverse rotation) rear end with disc brakes and 4.89 gears & Detroit Locker
Turbo 400 transmission rebuilt with low stall torque converter
Borg-Warner quadra trac transfer case with low range & emergency drive. Also rebuilt in 2000’s
Griffin aluminum radiator
Dana 44 front end rebuilt with 4.89 gears and Detroit True Track
12,000# winch with custom trailer hitch connection so you can put it on the front or rear of this vehicle.
Custom steel bumpers with trailer receiver on both front and rear
Recently I added a fuel cell in the back to replace the original fuel tank
Recent brake tubes and hoses
3" suspension lift
Home-made bumper tow bar so it can be flat towed
Aside from a bad battery, it is trail ready now. I do drive it periodically on the trails near my house & never take it in the water or mud. Due to the engine fire, the electrics that work were “hot wired” and only some important ones were connected. Defroster, headlights, ignition, starter, wipers all work for the trail. Many other parts come with this too.Expect a Jeep retired to off road only & you won't be disappointed. The aftermarket parts on this jeepwere bought asdirect fit & bolt in so if you are planning to part it out, or use to build your own wagoner, it should be straight forward. The title is in my name and possession. $500 PayPal deposit required within 24 hours and balance due upon shipment.
First $6800 takes it or make me an offer. Will consider trades for a Triumph.
