This 1968 Jeepster Commando is finished in two-tone red and tan over a tan interior and is powered by a 225ci Dauntless V6 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Modifications include upgraded ignition, power steering, dual exhaust, and new lights.
The factory sealed-beam headlights have been upgraded to H4-style lights, and a pair of yellow driving lights is fitted to the front pan. New brakes, shocks, and springs have been installed . The manual steering was upgraded to power assist, the brakes remain a non-boosted system. Paint was done byprevious owner and is a 10 foot paint job and has a nice patina to it now. There is one area that is showing some signs of corrosion, and that is in the right front quarter panel.
The 225ci Dauntless V6 is paired with a rebuilt three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission with a dual-range transfer case. The carburetor was rebuilt by National Carburetor, and a new fuel pump along with ahigh-energy-ignition distributor was fitted.
This was and Colorado Jeepster all its life, until Ibought it andbrought it back to Florida 3 years ago. Approx. 7k was spent on making this an excellent driver. Now my new project Airstream is eating up my time and the Jeepster needs to get a new home. Feel free to ask any questions I will check the sight often.
