Car description

Selling my 1979 Jeep CJ5.
For a Jeep of this size, it does surprisingly drive pretty well. Steering wheel has some play. At highway speeds it will shake a little sometimes. Brakes work great.
Power steering and power brakes. It is reliable enough to daily drive as long as you don't mind the lack of comfort that a newer car provides (no A/C, radio, sound deadening, etc.)
YouTube video of startup, walk around, and driving: https://youtu.be/sk-VX12DNNU
Engine is a 350 V8 that starts right up and runs perfect. Turbo 350 transmission. Transmission shifts perfect.Estimated mileage on build is around 10,000 miles. The engine and transmission were rebuilt at that time. All though, I do not have the receipts.
4 barrel Holley Avenger off-road carburetor, headers, and Flow Master 40 series dual exhaust
Four wheel drive works just as it should.
GM 10 bolt front / 12 bolt rear axle (w/ differential cage)
Frame is from a K5 Blazer (still tagged and titled as a 1979 Jeep CJ5 and still has Jeep VIN in correct place)
Leaf springs front / 4-link rear, Electric locker front, Detroit rear
4.56 gears
39.5" Super Swampers front and 39.5" Boggers rear. All tires have plenty of tread.
Twin stick t-case with skid plate
Front manual locking hubs.
Full custom roll cage w/5 point harnesses for both front seats.
Rear seat with seat belts.
Bead lock wheels
Custom fuel tank behind rear seat
Temperature, oil pressure, tachometer, and voltmeter gauges. Includes mounted GPS to use as speedometer.
Top is a Bestop Supertop that is in great shape with no tears.
Body is fiberglass. Paint is good for a driver, but it's certainly not a show Jeep. It does have some scratches here and there.Headlights, brake lights, and windshield wipers work. I don't believe the turn signals are working right now.
I have only used it as a toy to drive around on nice days and haven't taken it off road. Previous owner did take it off road, and it is very capable.
I am happy to send any additional pictures/videos you would like. I can also do a facetime call, so you can see it live. Feel free to ask any questions you may have before making an offer. I tried to put everything I know about it in the listing.
