Car description

I bought this six years ago and used it as a daily driver for about three years. It has always been very very well taken care of. All of the parts were bought brand-new and not salvage from another vehicle. No junkyard parts. Please read the very long description below.

ENGINE:
The motor was built by Titan Engines out of Ocalla Florida. It has about 15,000 miles on it. It is a 6 cylinder engine (258). It also has an upgraded camshaft for more horsepower. Also added the Howell Fuel Injection System which is a throttle body fuel injection similar to a Chevy truck. I also installed a new computer at the same time. The ignition system is a Chevy HEI that puts out 50,000 V rather than the factory 15,000. I have completely removed the factory ignition and coil system.

For heat displacement, I have upgraded to an aluminum radiator, and a very nice electric fan from Summit racing. I have also replaced the entire heater core and heater core box on the inside of the jeep. I also upgraded the blower motor to a high output version.

This year I replaced the brake booster and reservoir with an upgraded OEM dual diaphragm unit. This allows the jeep to stop WAY faster than factory, even with the larger tires and pulling a trailer. The factory brake booster was only a single diaphragm. Remember, the brake system on these are vacuum powered so at idle, its a little harder to stop than if rolling down the road while the engine is above idle. The only way to fix this is a Jasper Vacuum kit which is about $400. I just haven't felt the need for it. If you are on the road, this thing stops FAST.

More new under the hood parts that have been replaced are a high output alternator, power steering pump, power steering gearbox, transmission cooler, hoses, thermostat housing, exhaust manifold. All of these parts were brand-new and not salvage from any other vehicle.

TRANSMISSION:
The transmission was replaced in January 2016. It is a factory automatic with no overdrive. It was purchased through Jasper so it does have a warranty still left on it. This cost me almost $3000 alone because the automatic transmissions are very hard to fine.

EXTERIOR:
The entire jeep was painted two years ago. The color is hugger orange from a 69 Camaro. It is a decent two stage paint job.Looks great, but there are a few scuffs from tree limbs.

In July 2016, I put a new set of tires on. These are the Mickey Thompson Baja MTZP3. I replaced all four tires and a matching spare. These tires have about 1000 miles on them. I did lots of research and these are probably the best in any to rain you can throw at them. They have never seen mud and are not stained.

The top and top frame was replaced in 2015. It is not bleached by the sun because this jeep stays in a garage. The top has two buttons missing on the drivers side and I have "fixed it" with zip ties. Its not noticeable, but if that bugs you, you may want to invest in a new top which is about $200 on Amazon. All you will need is the skin since the frame is perfect.

INTERIOR:
Air conditioning was added two years ago from Jeep Air. This is an aftermarket system that is a direct bolt on to the motor, and includes a self-contained unit that goes under the dash. The AC works great but on REALLY HOT days, its just not enough to over-compensate the thin non-insulated black vinyl top. I think a hard top would be best if you are wanting the rear passengers to feel cool.

I removed the factory vacuum powered front differential lock and replaced with a manual locking button that you operate from your driver seat. The four-wheel-drive works perfectly and engages every time. It does have high and low for a drive. Since this is an automatic, you can place this in four-wheel-drive low and literally crawl up a hill without any input from the gas.

MISC PARTS:
Here are more new parts that I have added within the last two years; mirrors, front windshield hinges, front windshield rubber gasket, Grant mahogany steering wheel, center consul, new carpet, new for panel gauges, Front differential lock, Smitty Bilt Front and rear bumpers and tire carrier, alpine CD player, Polk audio speakers, Hood latches.

MORE INFO:
I do have a rear seat for this, but I do not think it is for this model jeep. You are more than welcome to have it, but it is stained with mold. Someone gave it to me. The horn on the steering wheel doesn't work. It has a switch mounted on the dash. The carpet doesn't fit perfectly on the front floorboard, there is a small hump around the 4WD handle. The blinker switch doesn't turn off when you turn, you have to push it back down after you turn. It has plenty of factory power, but remember, its a Jeep, so don't expect tire burning power out of 35" tires. There are a few rust spots under it, but nothing bad. The frame is in great shape and I have personally tested it with a welding hammer and listened for dead spots. The rear shock tower was reinforced on the frame by a pro welder. The factory rear bumper was taken off, new 1/4" steel welded in its place, and then the Smitty Bilt new bumber was added. I did this to make sure it was strong enough to pull a trailer.

SHIPPING:
I will help you ship this by arranging for a pickup and delivery. You may also do this on your own if you prefer. It should cost about $400 depending on where you live.

Remember, THIS IS IMPORTANT, this is a 30 year old Jeep. No, its not perfect. Its a 30 Year old Jeep. I do take care of my vehicles and I personally put tons of love into this project. There will be NO REFUNDS, NO RETURNS. Period. If you need an inspection done prior to buying you will need to arrange for so on your own terms. You are getting an AWESOME JEEP THAT TURNS HEADS EVERY TIME YOU DRIVE IT! You will get people wanting to look at it every day.
