Car description |

I am selling my 1988 Jeep YJ Sahara. It is very solid, with no rust. It starts, runs, drives and stops very well. The 4wd shifts easily and works as it should.
The Jeep has a 4.2l straight 6 engine. The previous owner removed the computer, put on an upgraded distributor and carburetor. It has the original 5 speed transmission. I am not sure if the motor was rebuilt by the previous owner but it runs like it was. It does not burn any oil and I haven't seen any leaks. It has factory air conditioning and the A/C works well.
The Jeep has a lift kit, and is running 33" tires with good tread. If I kept it, my plan was to eventually swap the axles for a set with lower gears. Right now, you need to go pretty fast to use 5th gear, but 4th will cruise at highway speeds all day long. It has an aftermarket rear bumper with a swing away tire carrier and high lift jack. The aftermarket front bumper has a place for a winch (but no winch), push bar and running lights.
The front interior is in nice shape. There is a rip in the driver's seat along the seam, a crack in the dash pad and one corner of the center console has loose upholstery. But overall, it's nice. The back seat is stained but functional and it has no rips. The carpet is mostly decent.
There is also a nice bikini top for those nice Arizona days and nights.
The body is solid. There is some paint coming off on the hood and a scratch on the rear fender flare. I took pictures of everything wrong.
A full workshop manual is included.
If you're looking for a nice, reliable Jeep, this might be the one for you.
The title is clean, notarized and ready to go. There is no lein.
The Jeep is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the bidding at any time.
