Car description |

You are looking at "RAMBO!" a 1969 (a ‘left-over’ titled as a 1970) Jeep J10 Gladiator, the last of the original Gladiator series. You probably know that Gladiators are almost impossible to find now. It is the toughest truck I've ever owned! It has the Buick 350 "nail head" engine with four barrel and dual exhaust, rebuilt three speed floor shift transmission, new clutch, release bearing and pilot bearing, plastic gas tank and copper line, and electric fuel pump. The seat has been reupholstered. The dual range transfer case works fine. It has manual front hubs. The air conditioning worked great but has leaked down. It needs a water pump, and the driver's side exhaust manifold is cracked. Idiot lights work but gages don't. It has an electronic speedometer and tach.
In November of 1999, the truck was hit in the rear by a drunk in a van and knocked thirty feet with the brakes on. The van was totaled. I drove the Jeep 300 miles back home. I acquired a '78 Jeep truck with a decent bed and good axels (power steering and power disc brakes) with the intent of putting 'RAMBO!' back on the road. I also picked up spare rear fender clips, doors, and a windshield, and I have four good (but old) mud tires and wheels but I finally realized that I am too old, too fat, too broke and too busy to do the job. The truck and parts and parts truck are sold "as is, where is". Last time I checked, the truck will start and run, but the brakes are down. It has not been driven in many years. There are no warranties, explicit or implied. This picture is old and the truck has deteriorated with age. Come and see it at your convenience in Statesville, North Carolina.
Both 'RAMBO!' and the parts truck and all the spare parts are going to somebody in this NO RESERVE auction! Please give 'RAMBO!' a good home! E-mail me your request for custom-shot pictures and all questions will be promptly answered. ‘RAMBO!’ and the parts truck will roll, but will have to be hauled to their new home. I would suggest a ‘rollback’ that can tow an additional vehicle. I have started this auction at BELOW SCRAP METAL PRICE!
