Up for grabs is the genuinely rare 'duck green' Final Edition 1991 Grand Wagoneer. The most officially preppy of all vehicles, nothing says understated class like an all-American woody.
The color is original and was only ever offered on the 1991 Final Edition; Jeep produced an extremely limited number of these duck green models, about 150 total. Less than 50 are thought to still exist. This is also the color and year chosen for the National Automobile Museum. A real head turner.
Only used it to get around our small town here in Texas. Fully loaded power everything, including rear glass and side-mirrors, seats, etc. Has the original made-in-Paris, France chrome metal fog lights still installed and in beautiful condition! Original fog-light covers also included. Has the correct white-wall tires installed, featuring the correct width and height so the vehicle "sits" correctly and looks as intended. Has correct fuel cap. Original wheels/rims and center caps (one missing, cheap and easy to find). New battery.
Needs a little body work. No serious problems. Can take a minute to start sometimes, mostly in cold weather, which is true of all Wagoneers (this is the very last carburetor-start vehicle ever made). A very worthy example of the legendary Wagoneer to restore to her pristine state. Fixing these things up is fun, too.
Relatively little rust (amazing for one of these). Original radio deck. Interior-controlled 4-wheel drive works. A/C blows cold and heat works like a charm. Overhead console in great shape. Installed a single matching-color harness seatbelt in center rear seat for my young son, but the woody will come with the original belt too. This vehicle has never been involved in a wreck.
See pictures for condition. Check "Shipping" tab above and enter your zip code for a U-Ship quote. I've used them twice and they are both very reasonable and dependable: and endorsed by eBay. Also see the eBay Money Back Guarantee. Bid with confidence. Good luck!
Encyclopedia:
"The 1987–1991 model years are considered the "best of the breed" due to a number of upgrades. These include upgraded wood siding and modernized aluminum wheels that lost their gold colored inlays in favor of gunmetal grey metallic. All exterior colors were now applied in a two-stage base-clearcoat system. Finally, a number of further improvements were made for the 1989–1991 model year series including a quality replacement for the earlier, leak-prone air conditioning compressor, the addition of the visually identifiable rear wiper assembly, as well as a general improvement in fit and finish. An interior overhead console, taken from Chrysler's popular minivans, was also added. This functional console featured much brighter map lights, an outside temperature sensor and compass, and an infrared remote-controlled key-less entry system. The last model years also featured new paint colors. These "new" colors included the rare hunter green metallic that was only available in the 1991 model year and is the paint color of the 1991 Grand Wagoneer in the Chrysler museum, as well as the color of the very last Grand Wagoneer ever made, which was a significant part of the historic collection at the National Automobile Museum."
