1972 Jeep Commando with manual 3 speed. Original 232 straight-6 that runs absolutely amazing.Engine: This Jeep's 232straight-6 is fine-tuned. Extremely reliable. I have a video showing the engine running. Full tune last winter i.e. new plugs, ires, istributor, arb cleaned and tuned, ooling system flushed. This jeep does not leak.Everythingis very tight.Transmission: This 3speedshiftsfantasticallyand strong. Clutch is dialed in and fresh.Startsevery timeno matter the weather. Tires/wheels: Wheels sandblasted and powder coated with correct white.NEWER Americus 787 whitewall tires just as this model came off the showroom floor (less than 100 miles them)Radio: Original radio works with upgraded speaker in proper spot. Gas: Its running on an auxiliary fuel tank at the moment that was professionally installed under the drivers seat.I have a NEWreplacement OAE metal gas tank in box ready for installation. Also fuel neck and overflow tube. All fuel lines on. Not sure how clear they are but there forreferenceforreplacement. Top/Other: Top is in greatcondition. I have pulled the headliner as it neededreplacementbut I have it as a template, aking cutting itsreplacementeasy.I have many receipts dating back to the original owner and many spare parts that includereplacementlightreflectorsif ever needed, new door-top-window slats, nd drivers sideseat beltwith original Jeep buckle ready forinstillation. This is a well cared for Jeep. It has the full metal top with all glass intact and is in great shape. The hubcaps in pictures do not come with the Jeep. I have a set of AMC 71-73 hubcaps that I will sellseparate. She needs a little bodywork inside and out but won't take much. There is one spotthesize of a dollar folded in half that has been removed from the front fender that needs patched. Under the rocker on thepassengerside is typical rust and typicaltailgate rust. Paint is great from 15 feet but hasscratchesandnicks.The rear bumper (and brackets) is off waiting for fuel tank replacement and it is in fairconditionwith a few dents and scratches. The drivers seat has a tare in theupholsterythe size of a stick of gum. May be able to be melded as the rest of theupholsteryis in good shape. The original Jeep Molded floor mat is in great shape (hard to find these and I have yet to see one in this good of condition.The frame and the rest of the body is in great shape andstraight NO cancer and justsurfacerust. My plan was to do the surface body work and repaint. I have color codes and paint chits from AMC of 1971-72.This is a rare Commando as it's virtually unaltered. I am a purest which is why I bought it. This Commando is PRIME for an easy fullrestorationor drive as it is. Its always a topic ofconversationwhen I take her out.
