GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1972 Jeep Commando for sale. Powering this 4x4 Jeep is a 232Ci inline 6-cylinder that is mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. The engine and transmission are all original and have 76,842 miles on the clock. The paint was redone at the time of the restoration and is a Metallic Green that looks good. Contrasting well with the Deep Sea Green paint is wood trim that runs along the top of the... body. Also made of wood are the step-bars that are in great condition. This truck has been restored and some bodywork has been completed on the fenders and floor of the rear area. After looking at the pictures you can see that this truck looks as it should. The front seats are split and gray leather. In the back, there is a bench seat for any passengers accompanying you on an off-road adventure. To keep occupants safe off-road there is a roll cage that has been installed behind the front seats. This truck starts as it should and idles with ease. Driving is a pleasure with the open-top, but the included vinyl blacktop can be put up in the event of poor weather. The Goodyear Wrangler RT/S tires make roads optional and with high and low 4x4 gears, there is no trail that this Jeep is unfit for. The Jeep Commando has been named as the ancestor to the modern Jeeps that dominate off-road today. Please call or email with any questions or for more information on this 1972 Jeep Commando.
