This original 1978 International Harvester Scout is finished in (6787) Concord Blue and was found in a barn on a farm in Georgia. When I found it in 2016 it was totally original and only one part (ignition coil) had ever been replaced since new. Everything functioned, so it worked fine for driving on private roads of the farm to haul and move things around. It was really never driven in traffic or used on public roads, and this is why it remained so original. It was registered as a piece of farm equipment with only a registration it's whole life until I got it. Therefore I'm the only person to ever have a title for this truck. Certain 1984 and older vehicles could be registered as farm equipment (in GA) which didn't require a title. I have some of the old (non-title) registrations with the records, and records going back to '79. In 2016 a lady gifted the truck to a neighbor for taking care of her 100 acre farm for a year, this letter is also in the records. I wanted to make the truck safe and reliable to be driven on public roads in traffic, so I literally replaced any and every part that could potentially be a future problem whether the part was still good or bad. I have over $2,000 in parts receipts for all the recent replaced parts. All of the original parts have been stored and will go to the new owner with the truck as well as all receipts and paperwork. The Concord Blue paint is 100% original with no body or paint work ever done to this Scout. It really has some great original patina, and the travel top has been clear coated to preserve the patina. The travel top has never been removed from the truck. Very minimal rust to the point that this Scout would be considered "rust free", but there are a few small spots. This is as honest and unmolested of a Scout that you could possibly find since you can see the body in it's original condition. A lot of these so called "restored" Scout's with new paint will have rust bubbles all over the body once the paint is a couple years old due to so much surface rust on the body... will never be an issue with this truck. The body is laser straight with perfect body panel gapping, and the doors open and shut absolutely perfect! The original floors are in near perfect condition. It has the rare factory 8274 Warn winch in working order and Warn winch bumper that has been on the truck since day one. The bumper has been totally reconditioned and the Warn warranty registration card with matching serial number comes with the truck. The original interior is super nice with no cracks in original dash. Original headliner and side trim are in perfect condition as well. Front seats have been recovered at some point and are in excellent shape with no rust. All original instrument gauges work perfectly as well as dash lights. Everything functions great on this truck with exception of the horn. Tried a new horn relay, so it has to be the horns themselves (available for about $80). This low mileage Scout is numbers matching and truly has only 69,734 miles. I have only driven this Scout 330 miles during my ownership since 2016. The truck runs and drives just like new, and everything is super tight. It's equipped with factory power steering and power brakes. This Scout comes with all of it's original manuals and the build sheet known as the Line Setting Ticket or LST. The new parts include: new shocks front/rear, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel hoses, original carburetor rebuilt, power steering pump and pulley, power steering hose, throttle cable, tail light gaskets, brake master cylinder, front brake pads and calipers, rear drum brakes rebuilt, new flex brake hoses, upper/lower radiator hoses, heater hoses, thermostat, water pump, radiator, heather control valve, v-belts, spark plugs, spark plus wires, distributor cap and rotor, condenser, alternator, oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets, valley pan gasket, intake gaskets, air filter, head lights, body bushings, battery, brand new tires, fresh oil/filter change, transmission/torque converter flush, front/rear diff fluid flush. I have lots of additional photos (undercarriage, interior, etc) that I'm happy to send upon request. Also a cold-start and road test video is available on youtube, as well as a video tour of the truck that I would recommend watching. This Scout is turn-key and ready for it's next adventure!
