Up for auction is an very clean 1970 International Harvester we picked up. When we got this truck we immediately ordered a new driver fuel tank (Poly) from travelall parts. Both the left and right tanks had pin holes in them and fuel was leaking. Then we ordered a rebuilt carburetor. We notice the front driveshaft was bent so we had a replacement built by a driveshaft shop near us. This truck fired right up on the first crank. We didn't replace the right tank not knowing what the new owner would plan to do with this truck. It runs and drives great up and down the street, but we have not taken it out on the highway. I would highly recommend this truck be transported to its destination based on that but it does seem to drive find. This truck is a manual transmission and it has the tall gears and non syncro transmission and it shifts fine. Most of the gauges don't seem to be working but that may just be old wiring. Its as original as an old truck can be. The body is super clean for an old truck but there is some extra holes in the doors from previous mirrors being mounted. It is rare finding one of these in 4wd and being in original condition with this cool green paint and patina. Would definitely make a cool restomod with maybe a cummins motor with a nice lift. I have a California Title in hand. If requested we have a video of the truck and it includes the engine running.
