REAL AUCTION! HIGHEST BIDDER WILL OWN THIS BLACK BEAUTY!
This is a unmolested 1980 International Scout II. This baby is awesome! Nice, clean, southern truck without the rust issues. Solid body in exceptional condition, strong running engine with less than 100k miles, Brand New tires, and a newly rebuilt transmission with a shift kit ( 1 year transferable warranty). Many, many, hours have been spent making it run as good as it looks. No leaks. Lights, blinkers, etc.. work as should. All good glass. This one has factory A/C that actually works (try to find one of these scouts with factory air - much less that works ). All of the major stuff has been addressed and the rest is the fun cosmetic items. I am listing this vehicle for a friend that does not have an Ebay account. He said he can have both bucket seats recovered for $400 to match the 2nd row seat which is in perfect condition but he thinks the buyer may have other intentions such as doing customized seats and did not want to waste the money. The interior is really nice, just the seats addressed and a knob or two. Solid floor pans, doors, etc.. Interior liner is clean and great condition. He is the kind of guy that is more concerned with the mechanical aspects than the cosmetics. As you can see from the pictures, this Scout also has all of the original paperwork (try finding a Scout with this).
So much fun to drive and people almost have wrecks trying to get closer to see it. The top has never been removed to his knowledge. I can only imagine removing the top and installing a roll bar or cage. There are classic autos out there for sure but finding a Scout II in this condition is very rare.
Not saying every detail has been addressed as far as making this Scout showroom ready but it's pretty darn close. I personally think for a couple thousand more spent this would look like new and the value could exceed $30k easily.
