Car description |
---|
1952 IHC L-160 truck. This truck still runs and drives fine. It will make a great project.Anyone with questions or anyone who wants to see the truck in person can call me at 620-786-4428. This truck will come with a clean Kansas title.
Body - The body on this truck is remarkably clean. It has a little rust in the cab corners, but that's about all the rust I can find in it. The floors look nice, both doors look good, even the grill panel looks solid which is next to impossible to find without rust init. The doors still open and close fine. It has some typical dings and dents, but no serious damage. The hood ornament is not broken. It still has the original emblems on both sides. The grill bars are bent up some, but they are all solid. The headlights and clearance lights still work as well as the aftermarket turn signals.
Interior - The seat is worn out and will need recovered. The dash is intact. The speedometer does not work. The fuel gauge does not work, but the oil, temp and amp gauge do still work. The floors look clean and solid.
Drivetrain - This truck does still run good. I drove it about 8 miles on a 100 degree day when I bought it and it ran great. The engine sounds good, it fires up and idles fine. It does have a broken motor mount that will need repaired. The brakes do still work. The trans seemed to shift fine. It has been converted to 12 Volt and it does have an alternator on it. The tires are all old and weak.
Overall this truck is still really in pretty decent shape for its age and it would make a great project. Anyone with questions can call me at 620-786-4428. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. I can put interested parties in touch with shippers for shipping quotes.
