1971 International Scout II - We have been driving and enjoying this beauty for a few years and it's time to move on to a new ride for us.. We got this really clean 71 with the Hardtop, chrome wheels with the big Grappler MT tires and then under the hood is a Ford 351 Windsor w/ edelbrock manifold, headers all coupled to a ford 3 speed fmx transmission.
We then changed out the dash to stainless steel with all new gauges, upgraded to front disk brakes, full Sony bluetooth stereo, roll bar with bikini top, new off road race seats with 3 point harness belts and a custom locking padded center console. The transmission was completely rebuilt 1000 miles ago, recent full tuneup, electronic ignition, new Bosch battery, new high output starter, new gas tank, fuel pump, fuel regulator. Dual exhaust, Paint is a cool creme (but not original), it looks like it used to be orange but don't know when the paint was done. Suspension is rough country all around and we added the Pella Black lights and bull bar up front.
So as you can see this is one bad ass machine and drives great. It doesn't get good gas mileage but it never did. 4 wheel drive works great as well. Did a few trips down to San Ignacio in Baja and back and she tackled everything thrown at it...
More pictures available. mileage is unknown as odometer has been changed, have the original gauges as well. Top is off and it comes with the purchase.
