About this vehicleThis 1990 Honda CRX is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.Seller's NotesI purchased this CRX Si in 2001 when I was 16 years old. For the past 19 years, she has been my baby, but it's time to let her go. It has primarily been used as an autocross/weekend car for the past 10+ years, but I recently purchased a Miata that will be my new autocross car, so I need to make room. While this this car runs great and is one of the cleaner CRX's you will find, please note that it is not a museum piece. You will find the typical dings, paint chips, and scratches of a 30 year old car. It will also need a few minor things to run perfectly, and I have listed everything I can think of below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!ExteriorThe Good - Very clean chassis. No rust that I can see, with the exception of 2-3 tiny rust bubbles in the sunroof (common on these cars, see pictures). - Engine and transmission are in excellent condition, and the car runs great! Starts up everytime, and I would trust this car on a cross-country trip. - OBD1 B16A engine and Y21 LSD transmission professionally installed by RLZ Engineering in 2008. The transmission has been converted to cable, and the AC has been removed. The swap came from a 92-95 SiR II and was purchased from Hmotorsonline. I've put about 25,000 miles on it since it was installed. - The paint shines and looks great, though as noted above, you will finds some chips/dings/scratches. I believe the car was repainted by the previous owner, but I have not done any paintwork to the car in the 19 years I have owned it other than the occasional touch-up paint. Both bumpers seem to have some paint cracks. They are difficult to capture with a camera, but please look closely at the pictures. - Interior is very clean, but it does have a cracked HVAC control unit (extremely common). Also, the previous owner loved gauges, and there are a few screw holes in the pillar area (see picture, I covered them with electrical tape and they never really bothered me). - The sunroof works great and doesn't leak. - New battery, distributor, and rear calipers installed earlier this year. - Clean title in hand!InteriorThe Bad - Needs new tires, as the current ones are developing cracks. I am happy to coordinate the purchase of new tires with a local shop if the buyer wants to drive the car home. - Needs new shocks, the current ones are blown. You may find a few bushings worth replacing while you're in there. After all, the car is 30 years old. - One of the hinges on the driver's side door has broken (see last interior picture). Please note that this is NOT a hinge that holds the weight of the door, but the hinge that prevents the door from opening too far. It doesn't affect functionality too much, you just have to be a little careful when opening it. It appears that the previous owner got it welded to fix it, but the welds have since broken over the years. Shouldn't be too difficult to get it fixed again. - One of the engine mounts is blown and needs to be replaced. The good news is that I have a brand new set of Innovative Racing billet mounts that will come with the car (see picture). Please note that while the car is completely drivable with the current mounts, there is some extra noise/vibration/rattles due to the blown mount. - One of the wheels has some heavy curbing, and could probably use a refinish.EngineThe car is located in Charlotte, NC. I live 2 hours away from where the car is stored, so we will need to coordinate a time that works for both parties to arrange pick up. I am also happy to work with any buyer-arranged shippers, if needed. Please let me know if you have any questions!Deposits are nonrefundable.Created on the eBay Motors app
