Car description

This auction is for a vintage 1964 original Honda S600 Roadster, Hardtop convertible with original hardtop. It has been in dry storage since 1981. It is in pieces and is approx. 85% complete. The engine turns over but has not been in fully running since the late 70's. It had been previously driven as a race car as well so there were some modifications made that would have to be addressed. And there is some body work that was done but would be better if re-done as well.
I am selling it for my mechanic. He has had it for MANY years and was going to rebuild himself but after years of life getting in the way he is ready to part with it and find someone that wants to get it back on the road. We are selling ALL as is. He does not want to piece meal it out so it is all or nothing.
The hardtop is original to the vehicle and VERY hard to come by these days. Almost like a unicorn sighting. The soft top is in tact but would be good for a pattern as it is barely hanging in there. The soft top frame is in good shape. I have taken photos of ALL the parts but you will need to zoom to see what all is there. ( My pictures aren't great but you can see everything. ) I have MANY more pics but couldn't fit them all on here. Happy to send them if you want to see them. Please ask questions and understand that the response time may vary as I will then have to contact him for answers. The owner has the wood crates that were built to house the parts in storage. You get the whole thing with the large wood crates that the pieces have been stored in all these years. There are 4 new old stock tires that go with it as well.(see photo) The title is clean and comes with the vehicle. The last date on the title is 1974 and shows the vin with the correct year of mfg. 1964. It also comes with the original owners manual and the original dealership mechanics manual. You get both!!! SOOOOO many hard to come by pieces and as a whole extremely hard to come by.
This vehicle was driven as a race car at some point and has some modifications that will need to be address before putting the engine back in. See all photos and I have more just ask. Couldn't put them all up. Also has had some rear body damage that has a pretty rough repair started but never finished. I don't know what was used as the filler. see rear photos. I can't really describe each an every part but again, have added 24 photos. I have about that many more and am happy to accommodate regarding any questions you have.
Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding on the item. I will do my best to get back to you quickly.
Please be prepared to pay with cash within 3 days of auction end. If you need to pay via cashiers check or money order you will need to contact me prior so that I may research your info before accepting.
I have MANY transactions under my belt. However, This is my first time listing a vehicle or anything like this. I'm doing it for a friend and am trying to learn as I go. Please ask specific questions that I may then relay to him.
Thanks so much!!!
