1972 GMC C2500THE 1972 GMC C/K & 1972 CHEVY C/K PICKUP TRUCKS ARE THE LAST YEAR OF THE '67-'72 "C" SERIES ERA WITH THE BEST OF THE CLASSIC SQUARE BODY STYLECOMPLETE FRAME-OFF RESTORATION WAS PERFORMED LESS THAN 17,000 MILES AGO BY NUMEROUS PROFESSIONALS IN THE AUTOMOTIVE BUSINESS.
No part on this entire truck has more than 17,000 miles on it with exception to the original frame and cab assembly that has been completely restored during the lengthy and precise process.
TRUCK RESTORATION BEGAN AS A RUST FREE CALIFORNIA TRUCK THAT WAS COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED and FULLY RESTORED and THEN REASSEMBLED.
THE ORIGINAL VIN PLATE WAS NEVER REMOVED AND STILL REMAINS IN-TACT...
Every nut and bolt was removed and replaced with NEW FACTORY OEM USA MADE GM PARTS.
Frame, suspension and rear end were completely disassembled, media blasted, powder coated and reassembled with all new parts.
Body was completely stripped down to bare metal, primed and repainted with 3 stage finish paint.
Cab was sprayed with Rhino Liner inside (floor boards & inside of doors), as well as, underneath (exterior) before reassembly.
Interior of cab was then lined with Dynamat for heat resistance and sound deadening prior to full re-carpet utilizing premium grade custom carpets.
Bed was sprayed with Rhino liner inside and underneath before reassembly.
Gaylord Lid – hard fiberglass painted to match truck, hydraulic shocks, locking mechanisms, carpeted
A new GM/Chevrolet Performance 5.7L Ramjet 350 Fuel Injected SBC motor producing 350 H.P. was mated to a 700r4 four speed automatic overdrive transmission with an electronically switched torque converter lock-up kit installed.
New ceramic coated Doug’s (Doug Thorley) Headers and FlowMaster 70 series mufflers were recently added to a stainless exhaust system routed over the rear-end and exiting out the rear of the truck
March Billet Aluminum Serpentine Belt and mounting system was installed with all top of the line polished components, pulleys and adjusters.
Lots of pricey Eye Candy and Performance Equipment reside under the hood and inside the cab and bed.
New factory OEM wiring harness was installed (INCLUDES OPTIONAL TACH and VACUUM GAUGES).
Vintage A/C with updated 134a Freon conversion replaced the old style, outdated and inefficient A/C system
Extra large 35 gallon fuel tank was re-positioned and installed underneath the rear bed between the frame rails with a nicely hidden easily accessible external fuel filler and door
Posi-traction rear end with 3:73 gears was installed
Hidden tow hitch and wiring and drop down license plate cover for easy access and cleaner look
Properly lowered with drop front spindles and custom designed coil springs and shocks in the front and blocks with custom designed leaf springs and shocks in the rear so, this truck provides a professional and user friendly ride
Budnik Polished Billet Aluminum Wheels wrapped with new Toyo Proxes STII tires (Staggered)
Power Disc Brakes with Hawk Performance Super Duty Brake Pads up front and HD drum brakes in the rear
Power Steering with new close ratio power steering box added to improve the drive quality and turning radius
Power Steering Pump with separate aluminum reservoir
Tilt Wheel Steering Column
