Car description |
---|
This is a very nice driver condition ready to drive across town or across the country. I'll pick you up at the airport if you choose to drive it home. :-) The car accelerates quickly, ith SVO aluminum heads and an est. 320+ HP it pulls hard and will chirp the tires if you're not careful yet it can cruise all dayat 75 MPH with the 5 speed trans. The Wilwood discs in the front bring the speed quickly under control. The fastback is ready for your garage with the mostof the expensive bits being nearly new which should deliver years of worry free motoring. Solid platform to take to the next level: Shelby, leanor GT500E, T500 clones or ???

EXTERIOR:Paint is in good condition and shines beautify however it is not perfect. There are some flaws in the paint including runs, mall scratches, icks, nd dents from being driven. Paint is about 4 years old.Bumpers are in great condition and shine nicely.Lower rocker molding on driver side is loose which I will try to correct prior to buyer taking delivery.Door window moldings shows small dents from being knocked on by hand and windshield molding could be seated a bit better. A inexpensive fix.Turn signal hood complete with wiring loom.GT fog lights complete with under dash GT switch (not currently working but should be by auctions end)GT Grill complete and in great condition
GT emblems on front fender, as cap, nd wheel caps are all in very nice condition.
With the exception of the windshield, he glass is in good-excellent condition. Windshield has minor scratches from wiper arms, hey are hard to see from just a few feet away, would call its condition fair.
New weather-strip installed at doors; (top and bottom) and truck.
GT wheels have been restored, sandblasted then powdercoated inside and out.
New tires (195/65/14) Falkin

Transmission is a T5 from a Fox body Mustang and had an aftermarket short shifter (I believe it's a 5.0 brand) Shifts smooth and crisp but does have a slight leak at output shaft. hydraulic clutch CNC slave cylinder kit with Wilwood master cylinder, enterforce clutch (It isstiff) The pedal is tight and harder to push than a stockclutch.
Centerforce clutch (less than 1000 miles)
INTERIOR:
Interior is in great condition. Front bucketseatsare in fair condition and could use new seat covers, t least on the lower portion. Front seats are similar to the 68 style with the release lever on the side BUT thesehave the adjustable headrest which was an option in 1968. Rear seat, eadliner, dash, luster, nd panelsare all in great condition.
Rear seat is not afold down however the trap door is hinged and does open. Carpet is about 2 years old. Shows nice but does have some staining at in passenger side foot box.
Grant wood steering wheel
New instrument bezel
New headliner (black)
Truck hasbeen carpeted andthe floor raised and leveled. Thiswas done just months ago and isshow quality.
Heater bypassed
A/C is there but not working. As best I can tell it is complete but untested.
CHASSIS:
Wilwood front disc brakes. 4 piston calipers. There are less than 200 miles on the brakes.
Rear end has 3.55 written on it but I've not verified. No leaks, ear drum rear brakes.
Weld in sub-frame connectors
Stock suspension
Oversize 1-1/8 sway bar and end links
Manual steering and brakes (disc/drum) allow car drive nice and predictable with no wondering.
Underside is very clean. Floors were replaced in addition to some patch work to repair rust.

On Jun-30-15 at 19:21:36 PDT, eller added the following information:06-30-15I drove the car to the office today (40 mile round trip) and noticed the engine is running a little rough. It idles and still has power thru all 5 speeds so I believe it's just a minor vacuum leak (can hear a whistlesound). I will get it to the shop and have it looked at. I will adjust the reserveuntil the problem is corrected. The current high bid of just over $17K will not meet the revised reserve but let me know if you would like me to cancel your bid and I will do so.Thanks
On Jul-02-15 at 14:59:09 PDT, eller added the following information:I do not have the car listed locally andwill not cancel the auction. High bidder wins.
