THIS IS A 1968 MUSTANG COUPE FASTBACK CONVERSION.
CAR BEGAN AS A 68' COUPE AND TOP WAS CHOPPED AND FASTBACK ROOF WAS TRANSPLANTED. THAT BEING SAID, ALL THE INNER GUTS OF THE FASTBACK WERE NOT CONVERTED OVER AND WOULD NEED TO BE WELDED IN IF YOUR DOING A FULL FASTBACK CONVERSION.
THE COUPE ORIGINALLY WAS A STREET RACE CAR. HAS A JAGUAR IRS IN THE REAR AND JAG IFS IN THE FRONT. DISC BRAKES ALL AROUND. I HAD A 3.5 TWIN TURBO ECOBOOST WITH A 6R80 MOUNTED IN IT PREVIOUSLY. ENGINE AND TRANS MOUNTS ARE STILL PRESENT ( YES THE ENGINE CLEARED STOCK HOOD PERFECTLY)
THE COUPE STILL HAS DOOR POPPERS THAT CAME ORIGINALLY WITH THE CAR.
THE CONVERSION WAS DONE BUT, WAS NOT FULLY FINISHED AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE. STILL NEEDS FINISHING WELDS AND BODY WORK TO MAKE PERFECT.
THE FOUNDATION OF THIS CAR IS EXCEPTIONAL. SOLID FLOORS, FRAME RAILS,FRAME CONNECTORS, QUARTERS, FENDERS AND ETC. THE TRADITIONAL MUSTANG TANK SETUP WAS REPLACED WITH A 22 GALLON FUEL CELL STYLE GAS TANK. WILL NEED A NEW ONE. STILL HAS THE FUEL LINE FITTINGS SETUP AS YOU CAN SEE. WAS PREVIOUSLY SETUP WITH DUAL BATTERIES IN THE BACK AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURE.
CAR DOES HAVE A NEW FASTBACK TRUNK LID, FRONT VALANCE, AND DRIVER AND PASSENGER GRILLE WIDE MOLDINGS. THIS IS A GREAT SETUP FOR A RESTOMOD. THE ORIGINAL INTENTIONS OF THIS WAS FOR 3.5 ECOBOOST 6R80 SETUP WITH MODERN MUSTANG SEATS AND DIGITAL TACH.
