1990 Mustang LX 5.0 NASA American Iron Track-Day CarThis is a turn-key track day car with a newly rebuilt motor. It needs only a driver. Between myself and the previous owner, e have $25,000 invested in it.I really loved tracking this car, ut I recently bought a Z06 and already have third track car, o this one has to go.The handling is precise and adjustable with just a little throttle modulation. It goes right where you point it. The handling is also totally forgiving, nd the car can be drifted at will. The car sounds great, t's fast, nd I can guarantee that it will turn low 1:34s at Willow Springs.The motor is just rebuilt with less than 50 miles. I have not had it on a dyno, ut it should comfortably make 400 hp at the flywheel. The motor was built by Gear Driven Automotive, nd much of the other work on the car was done by Wild Pony Motorsports.The car is available for test drives here in Santa Monica. If you can show proof of track experience, hen a few test laps at Willow Springs Raceway is a possibility.Condition: mechanically the car need nothing other than that the new motor should be run in a bit more, nd the car should get a dyno tune. The car looks nice and I get compliments, ut this is a race car, ot a show car, nd although these photos hide some of the defects, f you were to look up close you could see imperfections in the paint like door dings, ater spots, nd paint chips. The car has never been crashed and has never seen any rust. The interior is what it is—again it is not a show car, nly a track car. The wheels have some bends visible on the inside of the wheel, ut there is no vibration in the wheel.
