Here we go!! What we have here is a restomod breast cancer awareness tribute build of an early run 1965 mustang. Let's face it everyone in this country has been touched by this disease in one way or another. A dear friend of mine has built this just because he could. It's not about the destination but the journey with this one. He's not a car guy as much as he is a craftsman so I'm listing this on eBay for him and he'll get on to restoring airplanes for a cause. This car is an aug. built 65 mustang coupe with 82957 original miles. Only 3194miles on this restorations even though it's been complete for 7 yrs. it lives in a climate controlled shop and is driven in summers only to shows and events. Lots of receipts documents and manuals for the mods and work listed below. It just missed being a 64 1/2 buy a week. Thus it has many of the features unique to the earlier cars. No roll lip on corners of the hoods leading edge beveled headlight bezels screw on hood bumpers door handles and window cranks are circlip fastened no screws. And an "A" on the vent knobs. So we have a very early run A code car out of the San Jose plant LA district. It appears to be 26201 off the assy. line if I'm decoding correctly. So below you'll find details of all work done.Motor:342 CI Ford Racing crate motor400 hp. 390 lb. ft. AntennaOk now the cons and every car has some:A small blister has cracked in the paint on lower pass. door. Something going on there but don't want to mess with it. It's still covered. For some reason the passenger door is a different shade of pink and don't know why. I'm told it was all sprayed at the same time but in bright sunlight it's obvious. There is some rust in the floor pan that was unaddressed in this resto. I haven't seen it but previous owner laid some type of sheet metal panel on the floor and new carpet is over this.Summary:This car has all the right stuff. Drove it last night..... I mean DROVE IT and it is strong! Could stand to be tweaked if you really want to squeeze it but should run low to mid 13s now. 12s are not unrealistic. Car drives pretty flat as well or just show it. We wouldn't be disappointed if someone got away from the breast cancer theme. This is a highly desirable car and pink isn't for everyone. Will include new breast cancer awareness ribbons vinyl graphics for rear quarter windows if you want them installed. We'll wait to hear from you. This car is being offered for sale locally and we reserve the right to end this auction early if sold locally. We will take it off local market when reserve has been met.
