Your looking at a very fine example of a short bed 1968 Ford F100 pickup that originally came from the factory with a 390 but now has a strong and perfect running big block 460 with a C6 automatic transmission. power steering and power brakes. The 460 was installed years ago and could not run any better. it does not use oil and starts instantly whether cold or hot and there are no exhaust leaks. Other than the engine transplant the truck is unmolested and is very solid. Please look at the condition description for any problems with the vehicle but they are very few. The pictures included show how nice this truck really is! The body panels including the tailgate are the originals and the paint is the original paint and would benefit from a repaint for a restoration. There are a few minor dents in the body sides and the tailgate has one dent that is easily repairable. The tires are in excellent condition but the wrong driver could destroy the back tires in a hurry. the addition of a Detroit locker would be very beneficial in the 9" rear axle. The exhaust is new. The brakes and power steering work perfectly. The bed has obviously never been used to haul anything heavy and the bed floor and inner fenders are excellent. There is an old driver side floorboard rust repair with the method of the day which was fiberglass but it was done well and is solid with some remnants of the damage as seen from the bottom of the floorboard. the passenger side floorboard is nice with no past or present rust perforation as seen in the included pictures. This truck is solid running. tight and fun to drive. Please ask any questions you may have. I will store the truck for up to 45 days for the buyer to arrange for reasonable transport. I am not responsible for any of the transport costs and will not allow late night pick up but I will meet the transport driver for pick up. I can recommend a trustworthy transport company that is based out of Chicago. I prefer to get a deposit of $500 through PayPal as soon as the auction is over with the remainder by bank transfer or cashiers check.
