Car description

Rare Collector-Grade GT500 Conv. 428 Cobra Jet V8 Automatic PS PB ///
Beginning life at Tasca Ford in East Providence, Rhode Island, this exclusive Mustang met its first owner in June of 1970. Thirteen years later, the car relocated west to a second owner in Denver, Colorado. And in the early part of the 21st century, it was a 56,000-mile, rust-free survivor that, in the hands of a third owner, benefitted from a multi-year, ground-up restoration. That reboot complemented fully stripped sheetmetal with correct Silver Jade two-stage. That pigment looks great under correct Black vinyl. And today, this Shelby glows as 1 of only 245 1969 GT500 convertibles produced, 1 of only 17 1969 GT500 convertibles painted Silver Jade, and 1 of only 13 1969 Silver Jade GT500 convertibles fitted with a White interior. Twist this Mustang's polished ties and you'll find a storied, 428 cubic inch Cobra Jet V8 that looks as fresh as the day it rolled out of the restoration shop. Behind that mill, a correct C6 3-speed, strengthened when it was professionally rebuilt, spins a correct 9-inch axle. That drivetrain rides a fully restored suspension that's augmented with factory power steering. Factory power front disc and rear drum brakes provide smooth stops. And power meets the pavement through polished Shelby wheels, which spin F60-15 Goodyear Polyglas GTs. Between the doors, a correct White Clarion Knit vinyl interior mixes correct Corinthian Hi-Back Bucket Seats with correct, optional Deluxe Décor. A clean dash plants a correct, optional tachometer between a 140 MPH speedometer and retrofitted AM/FM audio. A factory console floats a traditional shifter and small accessory gauges on plush carpet. And the driver spins a familiar Rim Blow Steering Wheel. Documented, rare and fully restored, this 1969 GT500 drives and sounds every bit as good as it looks. Call, click or visit for your chance to own the ultimate Ford muscle car!
