***GARAGED SINCE NEW --- RUNS DRIVES RIDES EXCELLENT***
***READY TO ENJOY -- FOR THE PERSON WHO WANTS A MODERN DRIVING CLASSIC***

This is a 1955 Thunderbird replica by Shay. It was built in 1980 but is titled as a 1955 Ford - title is pictured below. Previous owner stated it is number 167 of the only 200 built. Shay built these cars using Ford chassis components with a thick fiberglass body so the body will never rust. These cars were sold through Ford dealers. The owner is a friend who asked me to list the car. He is selling to raise funds for a home project. He bought the car about six years ago. This is a factory built replica that looks like an original but has many upgrades to make it more dependable, safer and easier to drive and enjoy. When he bought the car it had a four cylinder engine with manual transmission. His wife and daughter could not drive a manual so he decided to build this into a much nicer car. It now has a Jasper reman 302 V-8 engine with about 1300 miles on it. Car has about 8000 miles since new and has always been garage kept. Transmission is a smooth shifting C-6. It has power disc brakes on front with drums on the back. It is easy to steer with a rack and pinion steering and coil spring front suspension and adjustable air shocks in the rear. Car has air conditioning, full instrumentation, stereo sound system, correct styled interior with new black and white seat covers, new black carpet, new door sills and T-Bird floor mats. The body is Torch Red and is set off by T-Bird logos and badges along with chrome bumpers with bullet-bumperettes front and rear. Wheel covers are wire with Thunderbird emblems in the center. Tires are wide white wall radials. The car is in overall excellent turn the key and go condition. There are many photos below of the car with detailed description. If you'd like to view the car or ask questions about it call Fred at 804-five nine zero-0718. The owner needs to sell so please do not bid unless you have the funds ready.

Note bumperettes on the chrome bumper. Dual exhaust exits under bumper and has chrome tips.

Top has portholes and the top can easily be removed by unlatching the four hold downs.

Car appears authentic to the original Thunderbird but has modern chassis and other touches to make it easier to drive and maintain. Car has all Ford parts which are easy to find.

Paint is bright and shiny - note reflections of building. This car is ready for someone to drive and enjoy.

Owner added the headlight eye brows from a 1955 Ford Fairlane that were featured in early T-Birds. He also replaced the plastic grill trim with chrome trim.
