Car description |

Extra sharp looking top of the line XL with a performance 390 tri-power and a h.d. 44-speed.
EXTERIOR: I just walked up on this car, it's a looker! It sits proud, great colors. The body looks good. The Raven black paint is polished very glossy. Your first impression you'll think the car is perfect. When you look close at it there are a few imperfections. Upfront the grill and headlight bezels are good original, not beat up. The bumper has been rechromed. Spears on top of the fenders are very nice. The trim down the sides were probably replaced, it's nine out of ten. In back the tail panel is good original, the bumper has been rechromed. It has deluxe mirrors on each side. The stainless trim around the windows is straight and shiny. It has the original glass with minor scratches. The door jambs are dry metal painted nice, the rubber is soft. Doors shut real well.
INTERIOR: It has reproduction two tone upholstery with the chrome piping, the cushions feel real good and comfy. The carpet looks new. It has the optional padded dash in real good shape. The instrument panel area is good- the knobs, original radio, lenses. Has owner's manual in glovebox. Steering wheel is not cracked but it does have scratches in the paint. The center console is in excellent condition and it has the original style 4-speed handle with the right knob and reverse lockout. there's an owner's. Door panels are good original condition. The brushed aluminum is a little worn but not beat up. Overhead the white headliner looks new, visors are good original. Interior lights work on the headliner, under the dash and on the doors.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This 390 has a Ford performance package including an aluminum intake with the tri-power carbs and the factory cast iron headers. It is topped off with a finned oval air cleaner. It features power steering and power brakes. The components look real good- the regulator, battery, alternator, fuel pump, coil, power steering hoses look recent. It is upgraded with an aluminum radiator. Wiring is neat. It has the Ford washer bag but the squirters are not hooked up. They've also replaced all the bolts with cadmium plated bolts. The bottom of the hood is glossy with hood insulation.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Big solid trunk. It has been spatter painted. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are glossy black. It has a new plaid mat. New Goodyear tire on a painted rim.
UNDERSIDE: It looks very respectable underneath the car, it's been painted black. Up front the sway bar end links, bushings, shocks and tie rod ends look recent. In back it does have new coil over shocks. Power steering control valve looks recent. Bottom of the motor is clean. It has a 31 spline, close ratio top loader 4-speed. It has a great sounding Flowmaster exhaust system.
Opening up those tri-power carbs on that 390 while shifting those gears is a good time. You will look good while doing it too!
