Ford Model A 1929 Roadster on a original 1932 frame I built this roadster in 2015 in las vegas, not officially sure but heard that it was built in la and came to vegas in the 50's then sat around for a really long time. when i got it the body and frame were already married, with a rusted out 59a/side shift 3 speed and 48 suspension with 40s pedals/steering. i blew it part repaired the frame and built it strong to put tons of miles on. - Drivetrain 60's SBC 327 condition good but history unknown. runs strong no smoke. 3X97 big logo strombergs rebuilt in 2015 zip high rise water pump for fan clearance S-10 T-5 NWC 5 speed rebuilt with new clutch flywheel, bearing mated with early ford shifter in 2015 1940 ford clutch brake upgraded with 60's mustang dual pot brake MC 1940 ford spoon pedal electronic ignition 2019 electronic fuel pump with stock tank - Suspension original model a 4 inch dropped/drilled axle split 1948 ford radius rods - bent for steering clearance 1940 ford steering box cut down to fit seat rebuilt 2019 1946 lincoln transparent red steering wheel with ford horn rodsville 201 quick change w/real haldibrand cover 3.70 gears converted to ford 28 spline slip in axles/bearing set up as a locker rear rayjay ladder bars custom made front spring with cut down f1 shocks Model a read spring with spring behind axles with custom shock mounts Original 32 frame with 35 style X member and model a rear crossmember custom driveshaft 2015 6.00 firestones on 16x4 up front powdered coated gloss black 7.50 firestones on 16.4.5 rear powdered coated gloss black 1946 mercury hub caps 1940's juiced brakes upgraded by Brian Bass to self energized bendix brakes -Body original ford patinaed body 1929 front cowl pie cut to fit frame rear floors/trunk replaced to fit 32 frame windshield chopped and leaned 3rd row dodge minivan recovered seat wood floors up front older repop 32 grill shell custom 1 peice built aluminum hood louvered by lenny at socal las vegas all cloth modern wiring with 6 blade fuses 903 guide headlights chopped 32 ford stainless headlight bar 1936 ford single taillight welded up folding roadster top with wood header, top is original canvas waterproof top. has a lot of character, and keeps the sun off but is far from perfect. original Aristocrat gauge panel with repop stewart warner wings gauges-TO DO LIST move the steering box forward to get the cross steering bars more parallel. it steers ok but has that old car feel. the gas tank weeps a little at the steering column moun, i added a brace at the floor to help absorb vibration no turn signals, i just use hand signals GPS speeometer inop. i will include new sending unit She is a super fun and bad ass to drive. I have no fear and will just get in and drive. drove it from vegas to bonniville last year for speed week doing over 90 most of the way. This car is a fun, fast, loud and just an overall blast to drive. but with that being said this is a 91 year old car that has been rebuilt and does have squeaks, and groans and imperceptions that I think add to the character but please don't mistake her for a brand new car as she is not. I do have a current 1929 ford model a roadster Texas title in my name that match the tag on the firewall. the frame is original 32 and has all 3 locations of the original numbers as well.
