Car description |

1965 Ford Mustang A code 289-4bbl project car.
Selling this car for a family member, he bought the car with the intention to have it restored but he decided he wanted a fastback instead. The car has the usual rust for one of these but isn't too far gone. Most of the needed metal is included (only what is shown in pics). The middle/front floors have been cut out and the replacements are resting in place unattached. The drivers floor support is rotted near where it meets the front frame. The front frame is pretty solid overall but does have some rust near the bumper mount bolt holes. Battery apron needs to be replaced. Cowl needs work, some small holes near the engine bay (I haven't looked under fenders). Inner and outer rockers appear solid. Quarters and outer wheel houses have rot starting in the usual places. Rear frame is pretty much gone (one new rail is included). Trunk floor area needs some work, rust starting near where frame attaches. The engine and transmission are out and cannot be put back in for transportation (plan accordingly!). I was told is the original engine but I'm unable to confirm, the heads are included as well (stamped 302 though), assume that a total rebuild is needed. Engine is stripped of most parts beyond the block, nothing else is included. No driveshaft, carb, manifold, exhaust, hood, or front seats. Tires are decent and hold air but not sure how old they are. Has pony rear upper seat but looks like it's for a convertible?
Car comes with an open MA title from the last owner to have it registered. It is sold in "as is" condition as a project for total restoration. I've done my best to describe it from my knowledge and have additional pictures so please ask any questions before buying. $500 deposit must be made within 48 hours or the sale will be cancelled! The remainder must be paid through PayPal or by cashier's check within 7 business days. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping, car is located in West Greenwich, RI.
Buyers with less than 10 feedback need to send me a message first before making an offer or buying.
