This is pure late 60's American Muscle, uniquely rare & well dressed in it's factory format, base trim level cars equipped like this offered a cost effective window into period muscle, weekend drag racing & gentleman racers without the additional cost of higher GT/Mach 1 trim levels and/or Shelby built... As an avid and retired car collector, the current owner was on the hunt for a muscle car project and/or barn find, that should be brought back to life. During a road trip to Idaho, he began asking around and was told of a big-block Mustang located not to far away, he made a call and found this un-finished gem covered with heavy dust in a storage shed next to a body-shop. A deal was made and shortly thereafter it was headed back to California... Blowing the dust off, the "rock solid dry climate body" was in a presentable state finished/painted several years before, interior needing complete restoration and other items missing. It had a blown non-running and non-period correct big block under the hood. A period correct and professionally rebuilt 428 Super Cobra Jet was located/purchased from well known Ford engine restoration facility, Aldridge Motorsports in Vancouver, Washington. This project eventually took 2 years to complete, during this time components were properly researched, restored, rebuilt and "when possible", sourced for correctness including the complete transmission, rear differential, exhaust system, radio and so on. The only intentional safety change would be the upgraded Flaming River power rack & pinion steering. Interested? Make sure you take the time to watch our video... Will you be the next caretaker?
