MORE ABOUT THIS CAR!
This 1969 Mustang Mach 1 428 SCJ is a VERY RARE car and would be a perfect candidate for a concourse restoration to bring a high dollar when done!
This Mustang currently has a 390 engine installed in it. The original 428 SCJ engine was taken out early 1980’s, which I still have and is included in this sale (see pictures below of the original 428SCJ). The original 4-speed Manual transmission and original 3.91 traction-lok rear that came from the factory is still in this mustang. This Mustang will run and drive but will need the usual maintenance such as battery, gas tank, fuel lines, brake lines, carb cleaning, brake job, fluid replacement and so on. Like any other mustang this one will need floor pans. The front frame rails, rear frame rails, shock towers, tranny tunnel, firewall, cowl, and rockers all look solid (more pictures posted below of undercarriage).
*UPDATE*:The 390 currently in the does turn overandfires up with small amount of gas in the carb. For full operation it would need a fuel pump, fuel filter, gas tank, and update/bleed the brakes. The head lights, rear tail lights, and dash lights all illuminated.
History of This Mustang!
This mustang was originally purchased on April 8th 1969 in Yorkville, New York from Koerner Ford (Koerner Ford still remains a dealership in NY today). The original owner of this Mustang did not drive this car very often. Later on the original 428 SCJ was taken out and a 390 engine was put in its place. We are unsure if the heads and intake were put on the 390, as we didn’t check them. After the 390 engine was dropped in it was barley driven up to 1994 when it was put up for sale and sold to its second owner. This second owner purchased it with hopes of restoring and putting its 428 SCJ engine back in. Priorities took over and it remained sitting in his business warehouse in Pennsylvania for 23 Years! After sitting for so long we bought the car and are now the third owner. This Mustang has a Clear NJ Title in my name. I do not have the funds to restore this mustang to a concourse condition, as it should be, since I recently purchased my first house that I will put this money into.
Please check out my 100% positive feedback before buying and if you have any questions at all please message me. This Mustang will be sold on BUY IT NOW OR BEST OFFER so do not miss out on this one! I will require a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of purchase. Upon purchase I will immediately get into touch with the buyer and we will set everything up. For the final remaining balance due I require cash (at a secure location) or a secure bank wire transfer from a reputable or well known bank. This Mustang is located in Monroeville NJ 08343. Upon pickup of the car I can assist loading the car, engine, and parts.
Thank You!
