The exterior of this 1965 Ford Falcon Futura has just the right subtle upgrades. But as you dig deeper, you'll find more overt investments that include a custom A/C interior and healthy upgrade in V8 power. So there's a lot you're going to enjoy in this coupe.
We already like Flacons for a crisp design in a lightweight package, and this one really seems to understand how to use that to its advantage. The yellow paint is a single stage application that has an honesty that works well with this car's sleeper/stock style. After all, with the color-matched steelies, blackout grille, and deleted side trim, this one is sort of like if a COPO Camaro needed a Ford counterpart. And as you look closer, upgrades like the Halogen headlights, LED taillights, and baby moon wheel covers give this some unique flair.
Inside, the full black interior looks quite distinct against the exterior yellow, and as you look closer, you'll see a well-integrated custom setup. There were bucket seats available in '65, but they were never as comfortable as this. These are high-back units with nice bolstering and headrests to give you all-day comfort. The rear seats were even reupholstered to match. The comfortable feeling continues on the armrest center console, tilt steering column, cruise control, upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo, and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. But this classic is more than just a coddler. The auxiliary gauge trio and B&M shifter get you ready for something nice under the hood.
While the Falcon was given some nice V8 power in '65 to complement its Mustang sibling, it never got anything as stout as this. You're looking at a 302 cubic-inch V8. Not only do you get a healthy displacement upgrade, but also this was built for performance with a mild cam, Summit aluminum intake, and an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor on top. And they were thoughtful with the useful details, like the full strut tower bracing, HEI ignition, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. This motor makes a sweet rumble out of the glasspack-style dual exhaust. The C6 three-speed is a stout unit built for this kind of power. Plus, there are more great driving upgrades, like the Mustang II-style independent front suspension, power brakes w/discs up front, and rack & pinion power steering.
This Flacon mixes a bit of sleeper style, a ton of comfort, and terrific power. It makes for the strong-running cool-looking classic coupe you've always wanted. So don't miss this deal, call today!
