We could tell you how special a 1949 Ford F-1 is because it's the second year for the Ford F-Series pickups, but you can tell this one is far more unique than just its history. But beneath the unique exterior are all the upgrades you want, including a custom A/C interior, upgraded chassis, overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and small block V8 power.
This truck has an instant attitude, and of course, it starts with the paint. Matte black is used for telling the world "don't mess with me!" In fact, the whole painted front end, including grille and bumpers, really gives the headlights a glowing look of intimidation. Another great place where brightness shows aggression is on the wheel package. Polished modern Ridler alloy staggered at 17/18 inches front/rear give this a nice stance, and that's enhanced further by the lowered suspension. Even the details are a bit mean. Look in the rear. The bumper is notched for a trailer hitch for real truck duty. And they made sure to leave the classic tailgate with some battle scars that just seem quite cool when finished in the matte black. But as you really take a closer look, you can see how thoughtful this one is in the details. For example, there are battery jump points integrated above the passenger side running boards for added convenience, and the locking tool box matches the diamond-plating on the bed floor.
Inside you get the clean classic Ford dash, but you also know there have been a ton of upgrades. This truck has been redone for comfort, because after all, you never got high-back bucket seats in the 1940s. There's modern R134a air conditioning to keep you and your passenger comfortable, and the AM/FM/CD stereo is mounted in the glovebox to give you better driving tunes without adding clutter. The Grant GT sports steering wheel is mounted on an upgraded tilt column. And beyond that, the crisp Dolphin gauge package gives you a clear picture about what's going on under the hood.
The engine bay has a terrific look where the tidy setup draws plenty of attention to a well-done motor. Finned valve covers, a ribbed air topper, and plenty of polished components (including the alternator and master cylinder) tell you they invested in quality. And more than just look great, you also have the right supporting components like an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. The 305 cubic-inch V8 inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake, and it exhales with a sweet sound out of the Magnaflow dual exhaust. This is a strong runner that was built for driving. That's why they gave you terrific suspension upgrades, like tubular A-arms up front, a four-link rear, and four-wheel power disc brakes. Add in power steering and four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive, and this is a great all-around cruising classic.
Here's a custom pickup built to grab all the attention, and it has the right features to be comfortable even on the long trips. That's a recipe for a Ford you can enjoy near and far. Call today!!!
