Car description |
---|
This is a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 factory 390 4-speed car built at the Los Angeles, CA Ford assembly plant. It's a bare body and front clip on a rolling 63 convertible X-frame with Washington title in my name. The VIN numbers on the firewall, data plate, and title all match.
I purchased this car about 15 years ago as a bare body with a title and planned on restoring it because it is a valuable factory 390 4-speed car, but have too many projects and no time for this one. It's been stored in a carport since I got it. This car can be restored or used for parts. I've been collecting parts for over 20 years and have parted out several 63 convertibles so have other parts if needed for a restoration or another project.
The frame is in very good condition and has been cleaned inside. It has the stock 14 x 5-1/2 inch wheels on it. Both quarter panels have some body damage but are mostly solid in the bottoms, front and rear. There are some other body damage issues but little rust except for the floor pan. The body damage includes a bent windshield frame, damage through the gas door from looping a tow cable through it, left rear quarter window panel pulled out, and cut outs in the floor pan. Included are some panel pieces, as shown in the photos, for repairing some of the problem areas. The trunk pan looks real good, but the cross member channel ahead of the gas tank is rotted. However, I have included a better one. There are some rust holes in the floor pan but the structure looks real good. The rear foot wells have been cut out for patch panels. Included are the front clip as shown and a hood that is not shown in the photos. The original data plate was removed from the car for the body restoration but I have it and it goes with the the car. If interested, call me for a more detailed description. Please review terms of sale below.
