Car description |
---|
1968 Ford Torino GT, 390 big block (Y) code built to GT specs (have receipts), C6 automatic, bucket seats, PS, PDB, 3.50 posi rear, chrome GT wheels. The car looks amazing. This is one car that actually looks better in person than in the pictures. The original engine and transmission were rebuilt about 2 years ago or about 500 miles.
The body and paint are beautiful with no signs of rust or bubbles. Most of the trim has been replaced or restored. It has new carpet, newbumpers, Hooker headers with new stainless exhaust. The car runs and sounds great. Its just a great cruiser as it sits.
Issues with the car. The horn is not working, the blower is not working, could be the motor or switch needs replaced. The clock does not work. All the idiot lights work, speedo works, gas gauge works. It needs a kick down lever. Out of everything I'd say that was the most crucial. Although it runs and rides great it would be nice to have that passing kick down gear. Although, the C6 can handle manual shifts with out issue. The underside of the car is very solid. I'd say 90% rust free. All the frame rails are solid as are the trunk floors and drop offs. The one issue is the bottom of the drivers side torque box. Not a complete rust out. Just needs the bottom repaired at some point in the future. The front buckets have some seam tears on the seat bottom.
This is a nice old car that looks great, runs great, rides and stops pretty well. Just a nice car that can be driven and enjoyed as it sits. But has room to be tinkered withto increase the value in the future. I will be happy to provide extra pics or face time with serious buyers to show all details of the car. Delivery may be available.
