1939 Ford Tudor Standard Sedan
You are viewing a nice solid Ford sedan that is sorted out and fun to drive. The build started in 2011 and finished in 2013 with 200 miles driven since finished. A complete restoration was done on the car as a light custom.
Please read on for more particulars of the car:
Body/Paint: All steel original body and fenders with no rust on the car other than the roll pan at the rear of the car, which is a typical area for rust. The roll pan was replaced. A few dents repaired. The doors close excellent. The body had multiple coats of primer with blocking done on each coat prepped and very straight. The paint is North Star black single stage acrylic enamel. The paint was not wet sanded or cut and buffed in order to provide a stock look with orange peel just like the factory. The car was rewired throughout using stock style Ford cloth wire looms, 6 volt system.
Interior: The interior was restored as stock with loop carpet. Original gauges restored. Everything works. Electric wipers, throttle button now controls the wipers. The car was radio and heater delete from the factory with no hole in the firewall. Turn signals added.
Running Gear: The engine is a 39 221ci Flathead, stroked with Merc crank, AB rods, Offy heads, Isky Jr cam, 7.5 to 1 compression, crab cap 2 bolt point distributor, two piece oil pan, Speedway headers, new value train, Offy two pot intake with dual Ford 94s and dress up. The trans is a 39 Top loader rebuilt three speed with new clutch, rebuilt stock torque tube. Rear is original Banjo rebuilt with 370 gears. Rebuilt radiator with electric fan, rebuilt starter and generator.
Suspension: Stock restored frame in good condition to begin with. Front suspension is 6 inch drop axle aftermarket with Speedway spindles. A few leafs were taken out of the stock leaf spring. Gas shocks all the way around. 41 stock sway bar on the front. Rear is stock style replacement aftermarket with 3 inch drop. Stainless gas tank (16 gal).
Bright work: All restored, rechromed or replaced. NOS door regulators.
Glass: All glass replaced. Fold out front window works as stock. Side windows are smoker's windows.
Exhaust: Headers with straight pipes. No mufflers. With the cam and no mufflers the car sounds awesome.
Brakes: Restored as stock.
Wheels/Tires: Original artillery wheels restored and chromed with 39 aftermarket caps. Bia Coker stock tire with wide whites. Full spare.
Summary: This car is fully restored as a light custom and very cool with hi performance flathead. Hood side panels come with the car. Nice cool ride that you can take multiple people with you.
